If you need a speaker, I’m available to speak at your event.  I have expereince in speaking on a variety of topics such as: cults & cult life, writing, songwriting, public speaking, mass media, and the history of folk-singer/activist Woody Guthrie.

I’ve had more than 12 years of experience as a college lecturer, writer, and musician.  I’ve worked as a radio announcer in Washington and Idaho.  I’ve given several lectures on public speaking, cults, and Woody Guthrie in Washington, Indiana and Kansas.  I’ve written several graduate papers on religious cults and completed my Master’s thesis on the protest music of Woody Guthrie.  I’ve written and co-written several books, including my first published work A Train Called Forgiveness.  I’ve taught college classes in public speaking, mass communication, interpersonal communication, advertising, broadcasting, and feature writing.

    I just went to a moving and inspiring “musical” about the life and writing of Woody Guthrie at Freight and Salvage in Berkeley. I don’t know whether the sound track will become available…if it does, you might want to listen to it…I found it remarkable.

      Wow, that’s cool! I’ll keep an eye out for it. One of my best experiences in regards to Woody Guthrie was seeing the traveling exhibit when it was in Oklahoma City in 2002. It was great to see all his work that I’d read about so much. Thanks for your input and tip.
